TimeLoop ("we", "us") turns your photos into framed prints, collages, film strips, puzzles, polaroids and short cinematic edits — created privately on your own device. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Account information: when you sign up we collect your email address, first and last name, and a username. You may optionally add a profile photo.
Photos and videos you add: the photos and videos you import or capture in the app are stored in your private library so the app can work. Your library is visible only to you.
Photo capture details: when you take a photo with the in-app camera, TimeLoop records the capture date and, if you grant location permission, the approximate place it was taken, along with your name as the photographer. These details are stored with your photo and are used only to group and label your content (for example, “Daily” or “Monthly” date clusters and event captions). Captures save normally if you decline location access.
App preferences on your device: settings such as your content source (Daily / Monthly / Yearly / Custom), your picked event, template favourites and template customisations are stored locally on your phone — never on our servers.
We do NOT collect contacts, browsing history, or advertising identifiers, we do not track your location in the background, and we do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
We use your information only to provide the service: to authenticate you, store and display your photos privately, group them by date or your own custom selection, and render the artistic layouts you browse — collages, puzzles, polaroids, torn-paper prints, film strips, wooden frames, borders, vertical album pages, posters, reels and live images. All design catalogs are built into the app and contain no personal data.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Camera: used only when you choose to take a photo inside the app.
Photo library: used when you pick photos to add to the app, and when you choose to save a download (an image, GIF, or video) back to your photo library.
Microphone: used only if you record video with sound.
Location: used only at the moment you take a photo with the in-app camera, to tag it with the place it was taken so your photos can be grouped and labelled by date and place. The location is never tracked in the background, and photos save normally without it.
Each permission is requested when first needed, and the app works without them except for the specific feature that needs them. You can change permissions at any time in your device settings.
Your photo library and everything generated from it is private to your account. TimeLoop does not currently offer public feeds or sharing of your content with other users. Your name, username and profile photo identify you inside the app, for example when a photo records you as the photographer.
Placeholder preview photos: while your library is empty, some previews use generic stock photographs fetched from a public stock-photo service so you can see how each design looks. These are not your photos, they are never mixed into your library, and they disappear as soon as you add your own.
Your account and photos are stored securely with Supabase, our cloud database and storage provider, and are transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Access to your photos is protected by row-level security rules tied to your account — only you can read them. App preferences, favourites and generated artwork you have not downloaded exist only on your device.
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Profile inside the app, or from our public account-deletion page. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile and all of your photos and videos. This action cannot be undone.
TimeLoop is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted transport, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of any breach as required by law.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can edit your profile details in the app, download any of your content at any time, and delete all data by deleting your account. For any other request, contact us at the address below.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app. Continued use of TimeLoop after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
